Police have enlisted a FIR against anonymous Army staff in the episode of professedly utilizing a regular citizen as a protective shield against stone-pelters amid the surveying in Beerwah range of the Srinagar Lok Sabha body electorate.
The FIR was enlisted at Beerwah police headquarters on Sunday, two days after a video demonstrating a man being fixed to an Army vehicle as a shield against stone-pelters amid the April 9 by survey to the Srinagar Lok Sabha supporters surfaced, drawing far reaching judgment and outrage.
A cop said the FIR has been enrolled under section 342, 149, 506 and 367 of the Ranbir Penal Code.
The inspection of the case has been given over to an officer of the Deputy Superintendent rank, cop said.
In the video that float on April 14, a man is seen strapped to the front of an Army vehicle.
